Portfolio

Here are a few highlights from my work building and improving websites and creating engaging social media posts.

The Benefit Bank Self-Serve

From 2005 to 2014, I served on the content team for public policy consulting group Solutions for Progress, eventually rising to the position of Content Team Lead. One of my proudest achievements during that time was project managing the development and launch of a self-serve version of our counselor-based online service The Benefit Bank, which allowed low-income families to file their taxes and apply for benefits all on one site.

I collaborated with team members from the systems, usability, and marketing teams to develop the self-serve site architecture and content. I teleconferenced with the clients to present our proposal, and subsequently incorporated their feedback into our plans. The end result received internal and external plaudits and successfully connected our audience to crucial tax credits and benefits that they could apply for from their home computers.

Resources for Human Development

As Content Writer for this health and human services nonprofit, I worked with other members of the Marketing and External Communications team to continually improve our website, RHD.org. I ensured accurate online representation of the organization’s 100-plus programs.

Additionally, I continually refined the content and presentation of our monthly email newsletter, RHD Connections, to better serve our audience. As a result of these improvements and careful, continual monitoring of analytics, the newsletter’s open rate increased by 50% during my tenure.

Bebashi – Transition to Hope

While serving as Communications Specialist, I helped strategize media outreach for the launch of the nonprofit’s new headquarters in West Philadelphia. Click here for a social media post I created to highlight some of our local media wins during this period.
